Fenouillet. A ticket to Istanbul with Connaissance du Monde

To close the season, meet Arthur David, a regular on the Connaissance du Monde speaker circuit, and his film entitled “Istanbul the Bosphorus, at the crossroads of the Worlds and thought”. His studies of Philosophy and History in hand, he became interested in the Orient and we saw him last year returning from Bengal. This filming is first of all an exploration of the big Turkish city.

The viewer discovers streets, religious buildings, churches and mosques. Astonishment will undoubtedly arise when the secrets and outrages suffered over the years are revealed to us. Today, the restoration work of the authorities has uncovered real pictorial treasures. But life in Istanbul is not limited to that. It is also teeming with tourists and its inhabitants!
