Domain Capital Group has closed a $768 million equity commitment for its second entertainment fund.

The Atlanta-based private investment management company declared that Domain Entertainment Fund II focuses on investments in cinemas, television participation, and music catalogs, with extra allocations for literary works, theatrical productions, and sports.

Domain stated that it has “generated total capital commitments of $2.3 billion in entertainment assets to date.”

The company added that Fund II includes investments with notable partners such as Paramount Pictures and Sony Music Publishing, featuring titles and artists like Sonique 3, Friends, The Matrix trilogy, Miranda Lambert, and Thomas Rhett.

The mention of Lambert emphasizes the deepening partnership between Domain and Sony Music Publishing Nashville.

Earlier this year, SMP Nashville and Domain partnered to acquire the entire song catalog of Miranda Lambert, along with a deal for future works.

Lambert’s catalog includes number one hits like White Liar, Bluebird, and Over You, and she has also written songs for artists like Morgan Wallen, Ella Langley, Luke Combs, and Lainey Wilson.

Domain’s music portfolio also includes the Sea Gayle Music catalog, acquired in 2020. Sea Gayle, a Nashville-based publisher founded in 1999 by Chris DuBois, Brad Paisley, and Frank Rogers, hosts catalogs of artists like Paisley, Chris Stapleton, Bobby Pinson, and Lee Thomas Miller.

In October 2025, SMP Nashville initiated a global administration partnership with Sea Gayle and Domain.

The initial collaboration between Domain and SMP took place in May 2022 when they acquired a catalog covering the entire successful career of songwriter Ashley Gorley, for an estimated $40 million. Gorley has written 59 number one singles in the American charts, with songs published by artists like Thomas Rhett, Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood, and Blake Shelton.

Domain also acquired the primary recording and publishing catalog of Iggy Azalea in 2022 as part of an eight-figure deal.

Fund II closed above its predecessor: Domain’s first entertainment fund, closed in November 2022, secured over $700 million in commitments.

The company previously launched a separate $830 million account in 2012, primarily focused on film and television assets.

“With this fund, we aim to build a diversified portfolio of high-quality assets that generate cash flow and preserve our investors’ capital in different market conditions,” stated Pete Chiappetta, Domain.

Commenting on the latest fund, Pete Chiappetta, Domain’s managing director, remarked, “The entertainment industry continues to experience dynamic growth driven by evolving distribution landscapes and global demand for content.”

He added, “We believe in the long-term value of these assets, the industry’s growth aided by this digital content era, and the access facilitated by faster streaming platforms and mobile devices.”

Domain manages entertainment investments for a range of institutional investors, including corporate and public pension funds, insurance companies, university endowments, multifamily offices, and wealth management firms.

The company states that its investment strategy focuses on cash returns with low correlation to broader market trends.

Based in Atlanta, Domain Capital Group claims to oversee around $8.3 billion in total assets. The company invests in private markets, including real estate, media, entertainment, technology, timberlands, natural capital, and special situations.
