Cassie has had a rather difficult 2025. Two years after a complaint filed with the American federal courts against Sean Combs alias P. Diddy for rape and repeated physical violence, the singer, then pregnant with her third child, found herself testifying against her former companion in the as part of his trial for sex trafficking, racketeering and transporting human beings for the purposes of prostitution. At the bar, the interpreter of Me & U notably claimed to have been forced to take several drugs and to have sex with male prostitutes during her relationship with the American producer. Although he was acquitted of charges of sex trafficking and criminal conspiracy, P. Diddy was nevertheless found guilty of transporting people for the purposes of prostitution.
Singer Cassie reveals she no longer lives in the United States
The day after the announcement of the jury’s verdict, Clayton Howard, one of the escorts employed by P. Diddy, filed a complaint against the latter, but also against his ex-partner Cassie. In his complaint, the man claims that the singer, now married to Alex Fine, transmitted a sexually transmitted disease to him and that she had an abortion without telling him. According to new court documents obtained by TMZ, Cassie no longer lives in the United States and has no intention of returning.. The mother of three filed an official statement dated May 1, in which she states: “I reside outside of the United States. I have no plans to return to the United States“. P. Diddy sentenced to more than four years in prison following trial
On October 3, 2025, the Manhattan federal court sentenced P. Diddy to four years and two months in prison for charges related to prostitution following a highly publicized trial. The father of seven children is now serving his sentence in the Fort Dix penitentiary, in New Jersey. Despite his conviction, the rapper’s lawyers urged a Manhattan appeals court last April to overturn his prison sentence. They believe this is too harsh given the crimes for which he was convicted. His provisional release date is currently set for April 15, 2028.
