The Toulouse manufacturer AURA AERO officially launches its defense branch, AURA M, at the Eurosatory exhibition. From June 15 to 19, 2026 in Paris Nord Villepinte, the young subsidiary will present the final design of the MALE ENBATA drone, expected in its maiden flight in the fall, as well as a complete range of platforms intended for the armed forces.
The Toulouse aeronautical group AURA AERO sets a first milestone on the defense market. Its subsidiary AURA M, a structure dedicated to military air systems, will participate for the first time in the Eurosatory exhibition, from June 15 to 19, 2026 at the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center. The company will unveil the final design of its MALE ENBATA drone, expected for its maiden flight in the fall.
A subsidiary designed for defense
Created to design, produce and deploy sovereign aeronautical capabilities, AURA M capitalizes on the industrial skills of its parent company in terms of prototyping, certification and mass production. The stated objective: to shorten the path between the expression of an operational need and the provision of a deployable capacity. A promise that resonates with the current expectations of military staffs, faced with the need to renew their fleets within tight deadlines and with a requirement for interoperability.
“With AURA M, we want to be a clearly identified player in defense aeronautics. An intermediate-sized, innovative player capable of developing open architecture systems and producing the series that the forces need. Our first participation at Eurosatory is the opportunity to unveil the final design of the MALE ENBATA drone before its first flight expected in the fall of 2026, the first in a family of drones which will expand rapidly. déclare le Général (2S) Stéphane Mille, Président d’AURA M.
ENBATA, spearhead of the military range
Presented as a sovereign theater drone, ENBATA claims to be 100% ITAR free, freed from American export regulatory constraints. Its certification is aimed at EASA, guaranteeing interoperability with European standards. Designed around an open architecture, the device can evolve as needed: long-endurance ISR missions, maritime or land surveillance, communications relays, electronic warfare or anti-drone warfare.
From 2027, the platform will serve as a test bed for collaborative building blocks intended to foreshadow Collaborative Combat Aircraft. ENBATA will then operate autonomously or semi-autonomously, coordinated with piloted aircraft or in packs with other CCAs. A roadmap that places AURA M in the race for new collaborative air capacities, a segment where several European manufacturers are accelerating their development.
Training and special missions
Beyond the MALE drone, AURA M deploys two other platforms. The INTEGRAL M, a two-seater training aircraft with aerobatic capability, targets the selection and initial training of military pilots. Equipped with a cell parachute, a unique feature in its category, and a digital tool for using flight data, it exists in a thermal version as well as a 100% electric version. The device intends to secure the first hours of flight while reducing the overall cost of training.
The range is completed by INTRUDER, the military version of the ERA aircraft. This device is aimed at training missions for transport pilots, VIP transport or even special operations requiring discreet landing, with a reduced thermal signature. Its first flight is scheduled for 2027, with deliveries planned for 2030.
A sovereign positioning
With a first presence at Eurosatory (Hall 4, stand C25), AURA M intends to engage in direct dialogue with the armed forces, institutions and industrial partners. The company highlights a triptych: technological sovereignty, industrial responsiveness and adaptation to operational needs. A positioning which is part of the broader movement of European capacity rearmament, where control of supply chains and independence from extraterritorial regulations become strategic imperatives.
