This 2-year-old girl cracks up passersby by singing Let It Go

It’s well known: sometimes it doesn’t take much to make the internet explode. In this case, a few piano notes, a hanging microphone and a two-year-old girl. In Los Angeles, little Leona charmed millions of Internet users with a cover as adorable as it was impressive of “Let It Go”, the song by The Snow Queen.

Nobody, really, expected that. And even less the street pianist known on the networks as Emilio Piano, in a street in Los Angeles. While he is leaning over the keys of his instrument to perform a song by Tom Odell, a tiny girl approaches him and asks him if he knows “Let It Go”, the indestructible hit by The Snow Queen, which you probably can’t hear anymore if you’re a parent of children born in the 2010s.

So far, nothing exceptional. But as the musician begins to play, the little girl spots a microphone hanging above his head. Intrigued, she jumps to try to catch it. The pianist lowers it to his height. Passersby smile. Some are already taking out their phones.

If everyone was expecting to hear a few shy words or a rough rhyme… that’s where the magic happens.

From the first words, little Leona surprises everyone. With a disarming seriousness and a surprisingly powerful voice for her age, she launches into this formidable song, made famous by Elsa in the Disney film. Around her, the smiles widen.

Obviously, the scene did not fail to crack up Internet users. The video, shared by the famous street pianist, is accumulating views at full speed. Friday, two days after it was posted online, it already had more than 8 million views and 150,000 comments, in which users competed with superlatives to salute the little girl’s talent.
