This weekend, the La Forge estate in Souillac confirmed its vocation as an essential place for art, during the Jardin en arts event. For four days, many visitors wandered around to discover the 27 artists, offering all different works: painting, sculptures on several supports, drawing, writing, visual artist, staging… really a lot of choice of creations, very personal, with the availability of the artists to share their passion, explain their work and their project.
Among the visitors, Frédéric Vergnes, mayor of Souillac, accompanied by part of his municipal council and in particular by Élodie Bardinet, in charge of culture. During the opening, they saluted all the artists present for the quality and diversity of their works, as well as Virginie and the volunteers of the Forge association over the years, for providing this place steeped in history; it allows the holding of exhibitions in several rooms and in its bucolic park.
Saturday evening, the narrated tour of the estate at night by Corentin Cayla brought together many curious people in this magical and slightly mysterious place with the creaking boards! Monday afternoon, despite the heat, Bob Neal and Jean-Pierre Kuntz offered a recital by the group Police and the singer Sting – a pleasant moment of relaxation and good music, in the shade of the large trees to close these beautiful days around creation.
