The show “How it is danced”, scheduled for Friday June 5, will be one of the highlights. It carries a theatrical message about traditional ballroom dancing with live music. Organizer of this Setmana Occitana, the Monein media library will be the scene of these activities also involving the school public, but also the elders of the nursing home, living memories of Occitan culture.

Programme
Monday 1is juin : in the morning, bilingual reading dedicated to school audiences, with Georges Lamarlère; 6 p.m., official opening of Occitan Week with traditional dances and music, hosted by Los Mandragots and Los Seuvetons, accompanied by Los Trébucqs from the music school (AMTM).
Mardi 2 juin : in the morning, musical show for children, “L’Ueu de qui ei?”, with Cie Musiquejam; 2 p.m., cooking workshop (registration required); 6:30 p.m., aperitif and dance with Los Trebucqs, followed by a cantéra and an Oc blind test (free entry).
Wednesday 3 June : 10:30 a.m., bilingual stories (all audiences) hosted by the La MéMo team (registration required); 2 to 4 p.m., introductory workshops on traditional dances (children and adults), with Anne Lafitte, Los Trebucqs and Jon Vernier-Bareigts, on the square in front of La MéMo. The workshop will be followed by a demonstration and a snack at the nursing home (registration required).
Friday 5 June : 8:30 p.m., theater show “How it is danced”, with La D’Âme de Compagnie (paying show); 10 p.m., restitution of the Béarnais jump “Gibandrièrs de Sauveterra”, supervised by Kilhan Coron and Jon Vernier, followed by a dance demonstration and a traditional ball.
