According to the Vietnamese News Agency’s Middle East and North Africa correspondent, Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian said on May 27 that his country’s current foreign policy is based on the principle of “balanced interaction for development.”
He also stressed the importance of leveraging political, economic, cultural and technological potential to promote bilateral relations and safeguard Iran’s national interests.
According to the official Iranian News Agency (IRNA), speaking at a farewell ceremony for the new Iranian ambassadors to Vietnam and Romania on May 27, Pezeshkian called for maximizing diplomatic, economic, cultural and technological opportunities to promote Iran’s interests in their respective countries.
The Iranian President highlighted the historical ties, common interests and traditional relations between Iran, Vietnam and Romania, and said that developing bilateral cooperation based on mutual respect, shared interests and maintaining consultations among senior leaders remains a priority of Tehran’s foreign policy.
Mr. Pezeshkian also expressed hope to open “a new chapter of broad and targeted cooperation” between Iran, Vietnam and Romania as part of Iran’s “balanced and cooperative” approach.
According to the Iranian leader, strengthening diplomatic dialogue and maintaining consultations can lay the foundation for lasting cooperation, consolidate stability and promote regional and international peace and security.
