Hard blow for the Crusaders and potentially for the All Blacks, with this injury to Will Jordan who will not be able to finish the Super Rugby season. A glitch which also calls into question its participation in the brand new Nations Championship this summer.

He is still a reference in the country with the long white cloud, but will he even be able to represent his country this summer? The All Black Will Jordan (28 years old, 54 caps) re-injured a calf seriously enough to miss the 16th and final regular phase, as well as the final phase in which his Crusaders will take part. After six weeks of rehabilitation, he returned on Friday for the Christchurch franchise’s spectacular victory against the Chiefs. But it was too early, in all likelihood.

His absence is estimated at four to six weeks, which compromises his chances of participation in the Nations Championship, any new competition beginning on July 4, with the clash between New Zealand and France. For this deadline, we will know more in mid-June, when Dave Rennie’s first group at the head of the Blacks is announced.
