Khoi Nguyen: From young director in America to assistant director of a theater stage
Khoi Nguyen (affectionately nicknamed Tre Phi), born in 1997, is the son of artist Hong Van. Measuring over 1.80 m and endowed with a modern artistic spirit, he showed a passion for cinema very early on. After earning a bachelor’s degree in film production at Fullerton College (California), Khoi Nguyen continued his studies at Chapman University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in directing in 2019.
During his stay in the United States, Khoi Nguyen demonstrated his talent with the project Nostalgia (2021), a work which won him awards at the Los Angeles Film Awards and the New York Film Festival. After ten years of study, he decided to return to Vietnam to pursue his career.
Currently, Khoi Nguyen serves as deputy director of the family theater in Ho Chi Minh City. Besides managing and coordinating operations, he also stars in plays such as « Little Ha», « Tinh Su Thang LongAnd « Phuc Dien Phap Y“. Khoi Nguyen clarified that he always receives a salary and health insurance in line with market rates to guarantee his professionalism.
Children of deserving artist Oc Thanh Van: leave Australia to reconnect with family ties.
At the end of 2023, the distinguished artist Oc Thanh Van and his three children, Coca, Cola and Cacao, settled in Australia to continue their studies. However, after a year spent abroad, the actress confided having gone through a period of psychological crisis due to the distance from her family.
It is notable that her children showed understanding and support when their mother suggested returning to Vietnam. After their return to Ho Chi Minh City, the family’s life quickly stabilized. The artist’s children are now educated in an international school, and Oc Thanh Van has resumed her artistic activities thanks to the encouragement of her husband.
