The funeral of actor Bruno Salomone took place on March 23, 2026. Many French celebrities paid their last respects to the actor, whom most of them had crossed paths with on film sets.
Bruno Salomone passed away at the age of 55 on March 15, after battling a long illness, according to his agent. Hélène de Fougerolles revealed in Paris Match that the actor had succumbed to the effects of cancer: “Two or three years ago during a dinner, he confessed to me: ‘You know, I had cancer.’ And then last September, I found out from someone else that his cancer had returned. He didn’t want it to be known, Bruno was very private, he didn’t want people to pity him. So, in September, he was unable to continue filming because he had to fight the disease.”
Actor Guillaume de Tonquédec shared that Bruno Salomone had proposed to his partner, a woman named Audrey, in the hospital: “He asked her to marry him on his hospital bed. It’s heartbreaking. She’s an extraordinary woman.”
The funeral ceremony in honor of Bruno Salomone took place on Monday, March 23 at Sainte-Anne Church in Joinville-le-Pont, the town where he resided. While the ceremony was open to the public, the burial was private for the actor’s close ones.
