President Putin, who recently concluded a two-day visit to China, confirmed to Chinese President Xi Jinping that he will attend the APEC summit in Shenzhen on November 18-19. Furthermore, President Trump would also consider attending.
“If the two leaders are in China, they could meet and have some sort of exchange,” Ushakov declared.
If it takes place, this meeting would be the next between the two leaders since the Alaska summit in August 2025 – the first face-to-face meeting between the leaders of Russia and the United States since the escalation of the Ukrainian conflict.

Sources indicate that the Israeli prime minister hopes to resume military operations in order to further weaken Iran’s military capabilities and put pressure on the regime in Tehran.
At the same time, Trump continued to assert that a diplomatic solution was still possible, but warned that Washington was prepared to resort to military action if Iran did not make concessions during negotiations.
“I want to end a war if it can save lives.” Trump declared on May 20.
Putin’s visit to China yielded important results.
Russian President Vladimir Putin concluded his two-day state visit to China with the signing of a series of important cooperation agreements between the two countries.
During their nearly three-hour meeting at the Palace of the People’s Assembly, Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping focused their discussions on topics ranging from trade and energy to international security.
Putin said bilateral trade exceeded $240 billion last year and asserted that energy remained a key driver of Russian-Chinese cooperation.
According to the Kremlin, the two sides reached an agreement on the key parameters of the Siberian Force 2 gas pipeline project.
More than 40 intergovernmental and trade agreements have been signed in the areas of energy, transportation, nuclear technology, artificial intelligence, education and media.
The two leaders also reaffirmed their stance against hegemony and the “law of the jungle” in international relations and stressed the need to address the root causes of the Ukrainian conflict.
American troops land and search Iranian-flagged ships in the Gulf of Oman.
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on May 20 that soldiers from the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit had landed on the Iranian-flagged tanker Celestial Sea in the Gulf of Oman.
According to CENTCOM, the ship is suspected of having attempted to enter an Iranian port, thus violating the maritime blockade imposed by the United States.

The video broadcast shows American soldiers deployed by helicopter before approaching and searching the ship. After the inspection, the vehicle was allowed to leave after receiving orders to change course.
This is the fifth ship to be subject to a shore inspection by the United States since Washington launched its blockade campaign against Iran in the Gulf of Oman and the Strait of Hormuz.
CENTCOM said the blockade campaign forced at least 91 commercial ships to change their routes.
