On Saturday, May 16th, the departmental minibad (U9) and poussins (U11) championship took place at the Willy Etiève complex in Pradines.

Young players from various clubs in the department competed in both categories, including singles (boys and girls) and doubles (boys and girls as well).

Nearly 40 matches were played in the afternoon with a new scoring system of 2 sets to 15 points.

The Lot Badminton Committee, in partnership with Pradines Badminton Club, organized the tournament and commended volunteers, coaches, parents, and players for their sportsmanship. They also noted the smooth progress of the competition despite the stakes and suspense.

Pradines Badminton dominated the podiums, winning 5 out of 7 titles in the competition.

Club members claimed titles such as Pablo Chatelin-Vavasseur in boys’ singles, Anaëlle Guirado in girls’ singles, and various other doubles categories.

Upcoming events include the departmental adult championship in Vigan on May 30th and 31st, with over 100 players expected to participate in more than 200 matches. Registrations are still open.
