On an old photo of the two sisters, she wrote: “Hey sis’, it’s Marinouche, I just wanted to give you a kiss and wish you a ‘happy flying birthday’, 24 years old! It’s been so long”. Faithful to her tender and humorous tone, she then continues as if she were speaking directly to Laurette: “Call me back as soon as you have my message, I won’t move all day. And don’t worry, I have some juicy things to tell you!” Before adding an even more painful thought about Edith, a loved one who recently passed away: “By the way, you are going to receive a visit from Edith, I gave her your address, she is new to the region. Take good care of her. Love you baby love”. A publication which greatly affected its subscribers, many of whom sent it messages of support.

A few years earlier, he said he went back on stage less than a week after Laurette’s death to sing in front of the public, despite immense pain. “It requires forgetting yourself”he explained then.
