Sunday May 17, 2026, France Télévisions unveiled its new magazine dedicated to intergenerational links. TitleI will follow your dreamsthis offers the possibility for a young person under 30 to organize surprise activities for a senior, whether they are their grandparent, their friend or a simple neighbor. A nice way to thank those we love.

In this first episode, filmed in September 2025, Maëlle, a Parisian student, aged 23, concocted a program for her grandfather Jean-Paul. The octogenarian goes behind the scenes of his passion for the first time: horse racing. Accompanied by the show’s lively presenter, Marine Barberias, the duo boards a van and heads to the Vincennes racecourse (Val-de-Marne). Here, Jean-Paul walks around the trotter stables, goes to the jockeys’ locker rooms and takes a ride around the track aboard a sulky. The enthusiast even meets his idol: the driver Matthieu Abrivard! Pleasant to follow, these first times offer their share of intimacy, all in tenderness and simplicity.

Imagined by the producer and host Frédéric Lopez, known for his showMeet in unknown landthis program was born from a simple discussion with Marine Barberias, former face of the magazineLittoral broadcast on France 3. “I told him that a few years ago, I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis,” confides the presenter. I was feeling gloomy and it was my grandmother Roselyne who gave me hope. She was my beacon in the storm.”

To thank her grandmother, Marine Barberias wanted to make one of her wishes come true: put her head underwater. “It’s an activity that she had never done,” continues the presenter, “while she lives by the water in Ploumanac’h (Côtes-d’Armor). After that first time, I saw the emotion on his face. I realized how important it is to thank and support loved ones, even in the simplest way.”

“This show goes beyond the experience, adds Frédéric Lopez. Here, buried feelings are revealed, secrets are told… It offers the possibility of being sincere in one’s emotions, and this is not always obvious. “A program which, according to him, could also have been called “The first day of the rest of my life”.

Broadcast Sunday May 17 at 3:15 p.m. on France 2, this first part is now available on the france.tv platform. France Télévisions has not yet communicated on the broadcast of the next episodes.
