Two planes collided in mid-air during an air show in the United States, before crashing to the ground. Fortunately, the pilots and co-pilots were able to eject and are safe.

The two planes approached each other, seemed to intertwine and fly together, but quickly began to disintegrate and spiral out of control. It was at this moment that the crews deployed their parachutes, all at the same time. The two jets crashed on the air base and, a few seconds later, the four pilots landed, apparently unharmed.

The two U.S. Navy fighter jets were participating in the Gunfighter Skies air show in Idaho when they collided, for unknown reasons, in front of very concerned spectators. The accident caused a large plume of black smoke, but no one was injured on the air base.

“Please stay where you are. Do not try to leave the area or return to your vehicles,” the air show security asks. This air show was held for the first time at this base since 2018. That year’s event was marked by a hang glider crash.
