Discover the best players of the weekend in Ligue 1, gathered in a team for this 34th and final matchday.
The player: Andrija Bulatovic (Lens)
The Montenegrin stood out in the last match against Lyon (0-4), leaving a clear mark for the next season. Tireless in his defensive work as well as in his forward projections, he finished with an assist, just like he did against Nantes (1-0). In only his sixth start in Ligue 1, he has been a great surprise for Lens at the end of the season.
Goalkeeper: Mory Diaw (Le Havre)
The Senegalese international trained at PSG was once again brilliant for Le Havre against Lorient (0-2) to secure the Normans’ maintenance, particularly by saving Bamba Dieng’s penalty at 0-1.
Right-back: Bouna Sarr (Metz)
Experienced, the former Marseille or Bayern Munich player consistently showed up in attack and Metz could have ended up with more than a draw against Nice (0-0).
Center-back: Sadibou Sané (Metz)
In the same vein as his teammate, this third Senegalese player, uncompromising in his interventions, completes our weekend’s central defensive triangle.
Center-back: Facundo Medina (OM)
The Argentine has suffered enough this season to deserve this distinction, coming out of a solid performance against Rennes (3-1).
Left-back: Gideon Mensah (Auxerre)
Extremely consistent in Auxerre’s fantastic end of the season, the Ghanaian turned into an assist provider against Lille (0-2).
Right midfielder: Lassine Sinayoko (Auxerre)
Scoring twice again magnificently against Lille for Auxerre, he was a standout in the last three matchdays. In this decisive period, he has arguably been the best player in Ligue 1.
Central midfielder: Andrija Bulatovic (Lens)
Refer to above.
Left midfielder: Sofiane Boufal (Le Havre)
An assist provider and involved in the first own goal, the former Angers player excelled at the Moustoir. And at the crucial moment for his club.
Right winger: Diego Moreira (Strasbourg)
If Sebastian Nanasi, scoring a brace against Monaco (5-4), also deserved a mention, the Belgian also scored and establishes himself as a must-have as a specialist on the right flank.
Striker: Wesley Saïd (Lens)
The departing Lens player, back in form with a brace against Lyon, is rightfully preferred by us over Sebastian Nanasi. A choice had to be made.
Left winger: Martial Godo (Strasbourg)
Similarly to Diego Moreira, the Ivorian international benefits from his brace and position on the left to also make his mark.
