MOZART and BOHEMIA (period 1777-1778)
It will be another triumph as this Festival delights music lovers every year. And the success will come, certainly to the renowned musicians who will be present, but also and above all to Mozart.
It is in fact Mozart who was chosen for the 2026 Festival and its 3 concerts which will all take place at the Saint-Jean d’Orbestier Abbey (capacity of 200 people) since, from now on, it has been decided to associate an event with a place determined sand.

Â
« Then aged 11, Mozart, guided by his father, went to Bohemia where he composed, notably, the 6th symphony in Olomouc. The kingdom of Bohemia was then renowned for its good wind instrument players. Mozart then met in Mannheim, within the city’s famous orchestra, several bohemian musicians who impressed him.
Mozart was then composing his flute quartets. He became friends with Anton Stadler, an excellent bohemian clarinetist, which gave birth to a quintet and then a concerto. »
During this Sablais Festival, Hugo Reyne imagined Anton Stadler playing on a cane flute – called “Csakan” and very popular in Vienna at that time – the works he composed for Mozart.

Hugo Reyne told us that during the program for Saturday May 23, 2026, he was going to play a clarinet concerto with this very special musical instrument that is the Csakan flute. The desire to take on a new challenge, to succeed in a challenge, perhaps also to brave possible criticism… or to reach nirvana!
We don’t know yet except that a certain stress has already set in within him…
