Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) continues to lead the French football championship after the 33rd matchday, thanks to a victory over Brest. PSG defeated Brest 1-0, extending their lead over RC Lens to six points. With the same number of games played, PSG is on track to secure their 14th French championship title.
Behind the top two teams, Olympique Lyonnais lost to Toulouse (1-2), causing them to drop to fourth place as Lille secured third place by defeating Monaco (1-0). Meanwhile, Marseille ended their recent winless streak with a 1-0 victory over Le Havre but bid farewell to Champions League qualification. Marseille can now at best secure a place in the Europa League.
At the bottom of the table, Metz, already relegated, suffered a heavy 4-0 loss to Lorient. Additionally, Auxerre won against OGC Nice (2-1), leaving Nice in the play-off spot with one match left in the season.
