Lyon takes the lead in the race for third place. Lyon made the most of the weekend by winning a crucial match against Rennes in the closing game of the 32nd round of Ligue 1.
Trailing after a goal by Al Tamari, Paulo Fonseca’s men turned the tide with Yaremchuk, Tolisso, Moreira, and Endrick. In the standings, Lyon now holds the third spot, two points ahead of Lille.

Samba limits the damage However, Lyon struggled at the start of the second half as Lepaul, who had trained with Lyon but never played professionally for them, equalized. Lyon managed to dominate the match with goals from Moreira and Endrick.
Rennes had opportunities through Camara and Embolo, but Lyon’s defense held firm. After the third goal, Rennes failed to threaten Lyon’s lead.
