FBI asks for help finding truck driver last seen at Brevard County rest stop

The FBI Tampa Field Office is seeking assistance in locating a truck driver who went missing from a rest stop in Brevard County earlier this month.

Alejandro Jacomino Gonzalez, 41, was transporting multiple vehicles south to Miami from the Port of Brunswick in Georgia on April 16.

Gonzalez arrived at the Grant-Valkaria rest area in Brevard County along Interstate 95 South around 1:21 a.m. ET on April 17. After resting for several hours, his truck’s GPS indicated he was driving north toward Jacksonville just before 8 a.m. ET. He became unreachable at that point, leading to his reported disappearance along with the truck.

Later that day, Gonzalez’s truck was located in Port Wentworth, Ga., but he was not inside, and several vehicles from the hauler were missing. Three of these vehicles have since been found in Florida, while others remain unaccounted for.

Described as a 5-foot-11-inch man with a bald head, brown beard, mustache, tattoo sleeve on his left arm, and two tattoos on his right arm, Gonzalez was born in Cuba.

The FBI is requesting photos and videos from individuals present at the Brevard County rest area in Grant-Valkaria between 1 a.m. and 8 a.m. on April 17, which can be submitted through an online FBI form for the case.
