The Alien is feeling better, and Portland immediately felt the repercussions. Victor Wembanyama put on another stellar performance on Sunday, April 26, in Game 4 of the NBA playoffs first round. Forced to sit out the previous game due to a concussion earlier in the week, the French star of San Antonio showed that he had indeed recovered by leading his team to a third victory (114-93) in four games against the Blazers.

Despite a rocky start for the Spurs, who once again displayed their dual nature, they managed to turn the tables dramatically in the third quarter and secure a commanding lead over Portland, all thanks to Wembanyama’s outstanding performance.

With seven blocks and four steals, the French team’s pivot effectively shut down the Blazers, who only managed to score 35 points in the second half. Wembanyama finished with a double-double of 27 points (9 for 17 shooting) and 11 rebounds, showcasing his dominance on both ends of the court.

Supported by a resilient De’Aron Fox, who led the team with 28 points, 7 assists, and 6 rebounds, the Spurs capitalized on a strong second-half performance to take a commanding 3-1 series lead and put themselves in a strong position to advance to the conference semifinals.

Thanks to the stellar performances of Wembanyama and Fox, the Spurs made a significant comeback to become the first team in NBA playoff history to trail by 15+ points at halftime and win by 15+ points.

With a strong showing in Game 4, San Antonio now has a golden opportunity to secure their spot in the conference semifinals as they head home for Game 5 on Tuesday.
