Helena’s debut album, “Hélà”, was a huge success. After finishing the Star Academy tour in 2024, she went on to do her own concert tour across France. She won two NRJ Music Awards for French female artist of the year and French song of the year with “Mauvais garçon”, as well as the Original Song Victory at the Victoires de la Musique. Despite being welcomed warmly by the French public, the young woman is in need of a break. In an interview with Sud Info in April 2026, she admitted that she needs to take a step back after her music tour: “I think I’ll take a year off after the tour ends.”
Helena wants to enjoy her life as a young woman: “I want to go far away, learn English, discover new cultures, live with a family that isn’t mine, like I did when I was younger.” She also wants to adopt a dog and has taken all the necessary steps to make it happen: “I’ve completed all the steps, I’m on a waiting list. And I want to take the time to train it properly.”
Criticism of Helena’s physical appearance has been a topic of discussion. In an interview on the show “Décibels” on Ici, Helena opened up about the negative comments she receives on social media. Since her debut on the Star Academy, she has been the target of hateful messages regarding her looks. These messages can be extremely harsh, as she shared: “Sometimes, some comments are so extremely violent – really, it’s violent. I see comments under videos of my concerts where people say it’s a sausage fest.”
Helena prefers to distance herself from the criticism. Revealed in 2023 on the talent show broadcast on TF1, Helena has learned to take a step back from all of these criticisms. She now distinguishes between constructive criticism and those that are meant to hurt her: “What can affect me are the comments that are mean but may be justified, or that come from people who are professionals and talk about my music, more than if they talk about my body.” When comments offer no value, she simply ignores them: “I always try to find meaning in things, all the time. I always try to understand, but sometimes when it doesn’t make sense, I completely overlook it. So, I’m fortunate to be able to say to myself: ‘That’s too senseless for it to bother me’.” A positive way to navigate through the storms.
