For over twenty years, “Pékin Express” has constantly evolved. But this season marks a return to the basics: no GPS allowed, no translation tools, new game mechanics, and a new route. A more raw formula, where instinct, adaptation, and encounters are at the heart of the experience.

The Stone Forest, a nearly supernatural setting

For this new stage, the pairs discover a unique site in the world: the stone forest of Yunnan. Dating back 270 million years and classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this natural wonder spans over 400 square kilometers.

Among dizzying rock formations, stone columns, and natural mazes, the landscape offers a breathtaking spectacle. In this almost unreal setting, candidates will move as if in another world, between fascination and disorientation.

A challenge as unusual as it is destabilizing

But the beauty of the place will not make the race easier. To progress, candidates will have to face an unexpected challenge: mastering the art of Chinese shadows.

An exercise as original as it is disorienting, promising a lot of misunderstandings, absurd moments, and tensions. Between laughter and annoyance, this test will put the patience and communication of the pairs to the test.

The dreaded return of divided teams

A pivotal moment in this stage: the return of the rule of divided teams, one of the most dreaded of the show.

At this point in the competition, each candidate will have to continue the race alone, whether hitchhiking or during the immunity challenge. A particularly stressful situation where the absence of a partner can quickly become a handicap.

Without their teammate, candidates will need autonomy, composure, and a great adaptability to preserve their place in the competition. As you can understand, this eighth stage promises to be a real turning point.

In “Pékin Express,” team cohesion is often the key, but this time, everyone will have to prove they can make it on their own. And in these conditions, anything can change.
