Alban Ivanov returned to try his luck in “LOL: Qui rit sort” season 6 on Youtube Prime Video.

The rules have changed. This Friday, April 24, Prime Video will release the first three episodes of season 6 of “LOL: Qui rit sort”. While the basic principle remains the same – not to laugh – this year the celebrities will play with new rules. The season started off with a bang.

Staying stone-faced has never been so difficult. After five classic seasons and two spin-offs, the concept of “LOL” needed some polishing. To keep the audience engaged, Prime Video decided to shake things up a bit.

This year, the contestants on “LOL: Qui rit sort” (who still play for charitable associations) will compete in teams. The trio of Jérémie Ferrari, Baptiste Lecaplain, and Arnaud Tsamere will face off against pairs like Jonathan Lambert and Kad Merad, Marine Leonardi and Paul de Saint-Sernin, Elena Nagapetyan and GuiHome, and Alban Ivanov and Paul Mirabel, who are familiar with the program after participating in 2023 and 2024. A 100% humor selection, where in previous years there were also personalities from the world of cinema.

A very joyful mess

This new format is not easy for the contestants. Not only must they avoid laughing themselves, but they must also watch their partner(s) to ensure they don’t crack a smile. This is particularly challenging for the trio, mainly because of Arnaud Tsamere, who is on the edge even before the game starts.

But that’s not the only change. In addition to the traditional Joker card (which they must play alone, risking their partner’s composure), the contestants also have a “secret weapon” this time, which they must play together and is very, very powerful. Added to that are all the visual surprises and activities planned by everyone to avoid the red and yellow cards.

The result: it’s chaotic and going in all directions. Too much? Perhaps. Too fast? Maybe. Maybe that’s why this season only has six episodes, unlike the last three which had 7. Rest assured, we still had a good laugh.
