President Emmanuel Macron ensures that “France is ready, when Lebanon deems it appropriate, to organize a support and mobilization conference to support Lebanon in this effort to regain sovereignty”.

“We will organize this conference, which will aim to support the Lebanese armed forces and to aid in the reconstruction of southern Lebanon,” he adds, specifying that “it will also be an opportunity to mobilize European funding”.

“We both support [with the Cypriot president] the idea of a European Union partnership agreement with Lebanon in this context,” he emphasizes.
