In place of an existing building, this new infrastructure, with a total area of 2,236 sqm, includes shared spaces (social areas, kitchen, storage rooms, laundry) as well as private spaces for 105 people. Fifty-one double rooms of approximately 22 sqm each are equipped with two beds, storage furniture, a bathroom, and separate toilets. In addition, three single rooms, intended for people with disabilities, also have a equipped kitchenette.
Sustainability and energy efficiency at the heart of the project After the phases of pyrotechnic decontamination and construction, the sewage networks of the plot have been renovated and the low-voltage networks have been updated, anticipating future construction projects in this area of the air base. In compliance with the 2012 thermal regulations, the building improves its energy performance with photovoltaic panels contributing to electricity production, as well as a Canadian well allowing to cool or heat the indoor air according to the season, based on the ground temperature.
Designed within the framework of the national accommodation program, for which the UNIK framework agreement was signed with the company Bouygues Construction, the operation contributed to the local economy by involving about twenty companies located in the departments of Eure (27) and Seine-Maritime (76).
