The start of the No Finish Line Nice event was given this Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at 2 p.m. on the Quai des États-Unis, under bright sunshine.
For five days and four nights, until this Sunday at 4 p.m., runners and walkers will cover kilometers to support projects for sick or disadvantaged children in the region.
It’s simple math: every kilometer covered equals one euro donated.
An “intergenerational” and inclusive event, confirmed by President Hélène Verdier.
She adds, “That’s what makes No Finish Line so charming.”
On the track, primary school classes mingle with seasoned runners in the latest gear.
Everyone participates at their own pace, all for a good cause.
“We don’t run for nothing,” emphasized Noëlle Perna, ambassador of this 8th edition. “We walk and run with a spirit of solidarity, combining sports with a charitable dimension.”
Funds collected after 96 hours of races are donated to associations with concrete projects, as explained by Hélène Verdier.
The organization ensures that all funds are dedicated to children.
Previous editions have funded equipment for the PEP 06 association and trips for underprivileged children.
A growing enthusiasm over the years pulls in high-level athletes, families, friends, retirees, all aiming to cover kilometers for the cause.
Olivier, a regular participant, aims for 400 km this year.
“We meet friends every year, it’s nice. And we know it’s for a good cause,” he shared.
Around twenty individuals come together annually to compete for rankings. “A sign of a race that brings people together,” rejoices Hélène Verdier.
The first edition in 2018 had 3,200 participants covering over 52,000 km.
As of the starting day, No Finish Line had 7,500 registered participants.
The goal set by the organizers for this year is 9,000 registrations and 140,000 km, a target that seems easily achievable.
Registration is still open throughout the event for those who want to experience the atmosphere and contribute.
