Crash at intersection in Covington leaves 2 injured, butcher shop damaged

Two people were taken to the hospital after a crash at an intersection in northern Kentucky. It happened around 12:17 p.m. when Covington police say a pickup truck was hit by another vehicle, causing it to be pushed into a crosswalk where it hit a pedestrian. The pickup also hit a butcher shop, leaving behind some damage. According to their website, the shop is closed on Mondays.

The pedestrian was taken to UC Medical Center and is reported to be in stable condition. The driver of the pickup truck was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Covington with minor injuries. The intersection of 4th and Scott streets will be closed for several hours while officers continue their investigation. This incident remains under investigation.
