Behind the Jean-Jacques Delmas stadium, the park was truly invaded by a multitude of chocolate-deprived children.
60 kg of chocolate. Twenty volunteers. A huge crowd, almost impossible to count. Two hundred? Three hundred people? More? The fourth Easter egg hunt organized by the Mende Festival Committee, on Monday, April 6, 2026, was once again a popular success.
The ranks were well filled from 10 am, in front of the entrance, half an hour before the kickoff. Some children were electric and desperate for chocolate. And a kick-off as if their lives depended on it.
A good time with friends and family
Always organized, the volunteers had planned two routes, the first for the little ones, the second for the older ones. And so that everyone could fill their stomachs, charitable souls replenished both sites. Once the good Samaritans were gone, it looked more like a hunt for egg throwers rather than a hunt for sweets.
And for the parents? There was the “helping children” team or “chatting and soaking up the sun” team. In any case, a good time with friends and family.
