On the stage of the Nîmes hall, the singer Roé played the tracks from his new album Rockumbero (and more). And he was very well surrounded…

“‘Enjoy life!'” The cry came from the heart and on this Friday evening in the main hall of Paloma, it made perfect sense. On stage, for the launch of his latest album Rockumbero, the singer and guitarist Roé did not skimp on resources. With him, six talented musicians form a purely Latino ensemble—rockumbero, this rock à la Roé, a blend of rumba and flamenco (or the other way around).

There is Clara Tudela, faithful to the bass and vocals, Colombian congas player Dany Ochoa, the surprising cajon percussionist and flamenco dancer Fab Tatu, king of zapateo. There is also Pierre Louryac, a thunderous rumba guitarist, and a luminous string duo: Aurélien Nunez (violin) and Céline Dussaud (cello). And then Roé, of course, with his guitar and warm voice. The life of this latest album and its very intimate tracks come to life. The sister we want for president, the father not so much but yes, and the brother it is so good to see again.

To this will be added the youth from the Cham classes of the Feuchères college. Dancing at first, they come to light up the track “Apothéose de l’Empoté.” Then they take the stage to accompany the finale “Yo no sé” and the inevitable “Soledad.” The stage is showered with sunlight and we savor it. Naturally.
