American plane shot down by Iran: Donald Trump announces that missing F

In a post on Truth Social on Sunday, April 5, Donald Trump specified that the military personnel had been injured and that the rescue operation had involved “dozens of aircraft.”

The second American pilot whose plane crashed in Iran was rescued by the US military and is now “safe and sound,” announced Donald Trump on Sunday, April 5.

“In the past few hours, the US military led one of the most daring search and rescue operations in US history to assist one of our incredible crew members, who is also a highly respected colonel,” wrote the American president on his Truth Social platform.

“I am thrilled to announce that he is now SAFE AND SOUND!” he added, noting that the military personnel had been injured. According to him, the rescue operation involved “dozens of aircraft.”

Iran claims to have shot down an American plane during the rescue operations

Iranian and American forces have been searching for the crew of the first American combat plane to crash in Iran since the beginning of the war on Friday. The Iranian army claimed to have shot down an F-15E fighter-bomber on Friday.

American media had reported that one of the two crew members had been rescued, which Donald Trump confirmed on Sunday. “This is the first time in military history that two American pilots have been rescued, separately, in the heart of enemy territory,” he emphasized.

According to the Iranian news agency Tasnim, the Revolutionary Guards claimed that an American plane had been shot down during the rescue operations in the Isfahan region.
