On April 4, representatives from the Ministry of Education and Training presented the decision recognizing Vien Dong College as a high-quality professional education institution. It marks an important step in vocational training as the first private institution to receive this title through the official recognition process by the Ministry.
According to the decision approving the list of higher education institutions to be evaluated and recognized as excellent establishments by 2025, ten national-level institutions meet the criteria. Vien Dong College is the only private institution to receive this distinction.
During the award ceremony, Professor Le Quan emphasized the need for comprehensive reform in vocational education, particularly in quality enhancement, infrastructure modernization, capacity building, and digital transformation.
Professor Le Quan also highlighted the role of high-quality professional institutions as innovation hubs, pioneering modern governance practices, advanced training programs, and modern teaching methods to improve overall vocational education quality.
In this context, restructuring towards a streamlined, efficient, and hierarchical system, creating high-quality higher education institutions, and enhancing governance capacities, promoting digital transformation, and modernizing necessary conditions are central tasks for the entire system.
According to Professor Le Quan, the central and vital role of constructing and developing quality vocational education institutions is strategic for meeting socio-economic development and international integration needs, institutionalized by legislative solutions.
Efforts are underway to align vocational institutions with international standards and contribute to developing highly skilled human resources. The 2025 vocational education law emphasizes the need to normalize and modernize training institutions, prioritizing investments in quality higher education institutions in key economic hubs.
