Two members of a banned opposition group executed in Iran
Iranian authorities today executed two men convicted of belonging to a banned opposition group and engaging in destabilization activities aimed at overthrowing the government, the judiciary announced.
These executions are the latest in a series targeting the People’s Mujahedin of Iran (MEK), with four other members hanged earlier this week.
“Abolhassan Montazer and Vahid Baniamerian (…) were hanged after their trial, and the Supreme Court confirmed their sentence,” reported the Mizan Online website, the organ of the judiciary.
365 American soldiers injured since the start of the Middle East war
According to the latest figures from the Pentagon, 365 American soldiers have been injured since the beginning of the war. 247 of them were from the army.
Since February 28, 13 American military personnel have also lost their lives.
Explosions heard from the north of Tehran, the Iranian capital
An AFP journalist heard several explosions this morning from the north of Tehran, an area targeted the day before by powerful strikes.
These explosions occurred around 7:30 a.m. (6 a.m. French time) and were accompanied by a noisy drone-like noise in the capital’s sky, according to the journalist.
Israel targeted by Iranian missile attack, impacts in the country’s center
The Israeli army today announced an Iranian missile attack on the country’s territory.
“Shortly, the Israeli army detected missiles fired from Iran towards the territory of the State of Israel. Defense systems are mobilized to intercept this threat,” wrote the IDF on its Telegram account. The army later reported impacts in the country’s center.
According to Magen David Adom (MDA), the Israeli equivalent of the Red Cross, a 45-year-old man was slightly injured in the face by glass shards in Bnei Brak, in the eastern suburb of Tel Aviv.
Southern suburb of Beirut bombed twice this morning
The southern suburb of Beirut was bombed at least twice this morning at dawn, according to an AFP journalist who heard powerful explosions and saw smoke rising in the sky.
Simultaneously, the Israeli army announced on social media that they had “started to strike Hezbollah infrastructures in Beirut”.
The United States and Iran in a race to find the pilot of a crashed American plane

American media report that one of the two airmen ejected in flight and was evacuated during a special forces raid in southwest Iran, while the fate of the second remains unknown.
In a brief phone interview with NBC, the American President assured that this changes “absolutely nothing” in the potential negotiations with Tehran to find a resolution to a conflict that is shaking the global economy.
