Donald Trump wants to “repair” the damage he believes was caused by the Biden administration by compensating criminals who support the American president.
A total of 1.8 billion dollars will be allocated by the United States to a “compensation fund” aimed at supporters of Donald Trump who were prosecuted during Joe Biden’s presidency.
“The Justice Minister has created the ‘anti-instrumentalization fund’ to establish a systematic process to hear and redress grievances of individuals who have been victims of political manipulation of justice,” the ministry said in a statement.
Scam and diversion
Donald Trump agreed to “withdraw” his complaint in the case against the American tax authorities (IRS) in exchange for the creation of this fund, the administration clarified. In this case, which also involved his two sons Eric and Donald Jr, the Republican billionaire was seeking ten billion dollars in damages and interest after the leak of tax returns during his first term.
According to the agreement, the Trump family members “will receive formal apologies but no financial compensation or any kind of damages,” the ministry said.
This compensation fund will be endowed with 1.776 billion dollars from federal funds and will “stop processing claims by December 15, 2028 at the latest,” the statement detailed. Its five members will be “appointed by the Justice Minister” and the American president will have the power to “dismiss any member,” it added.
