The Iranian army promised on Thursday, April 2, “crushing” attacks against the United States and Israel, after President Donald Trump threatened to bring Iran back to the “Stone Age” with massive bombings in the weeks to come.
“With confidence in Almighty God, this war will continue until your humiliation, your dishonor, your final regrets, and your surrender,” declared the army’s operational commander, Khatam al-Anbiya, in a statement broadcast on state television.
“Expect even more crushing, broader, and more destructive actions,” he added.
In an unprecedented address since the beginning of the war, the American president promised on Wednesday to strike Iran “extremely hard” for another two to three weeks, threatening in particular its energy infrastructure, and said he was “close to fulfilling” American strategic objectives in this country.
Donald Trump also reiterated his calls to countries dependent on the Strait of Hormuz for their oil shipment to “take care of it”: “Go to the strait, seize it, protect it, use it,” said the one who blames many NATO allied countries for not coming to the aid of the United States.
