In the May 18 episode of The Power, Beverly achieves a new masterstroke. While the whole villa tries to discover who stole Julien Tanti’s power, they move completely under the radar. Better yet: Jonathan, although considered one of the best investigators in the adventure, publicly exonerates her without imagining for a single second that she is precisely the new Power Player.
Jonathan protects Beverly without knowing it
Since the elimination of Julien Tanti at the gates of the final, the Players have been trying to understand who managed to steal his power. But while the villa is scattered in all directions, Beverly discreetly continues her mission.
And his greatest unwitting ally might just be Jonathan.
Convinced that Beverly would be incapable of withstanding such emotional pressure, he completely eliminates her from his list of suspects. For him, she would never have succeeded in hiding her stress with so much at stake surrounding the final. A theory that suits Beverly perfectly, especially since Enzo also uses this reasoning to protect her.
Because behind this strategy lies a huge dilemma for Enzo. Very close to Julien, he promised to avenge him after his elimination. But since Beverly chose him as an accomplice, he now plays his own survival in the game. If he reveals his secret, he too risks ending up on the wheel of misfortune at the gates of the finale.
Little by little, Enzo seems to have chosen his side.
And while Jonathan exonerates Beverly in front of everyone, the latter continues to move forward without the slightest suspicion of her.
Enzo protégé Beverly pendant que Laura relance l’enquête
If some of the Players seem lost in the investigation, Laura refuses to give up. Since the revelation of the first clue to the identity of the Power Player, she remains disturbed by certain reactions from Beverly.
From breakfast, she decides to start the investigation from scratch.
To move forward, Laura even collects the sheets prepared by Kelly before the adventure in order to analyze every detail about the candidates. A moment that allows for both personal confidences and new strategic hypotheses.
But while some play the game sincerely, Damien decides to cover his tracks by making people believe that he lied from the start about his family situation. A joke which produces exactly the opposite effect to that hoped for since several Players immediately begin to suspect it.
A perfect opportunity for Enzo
Very quickly, Enzo supports the suspicions against Damien in order to further remove the danger from Beverly. But Jonathan doesn’t believe in this theory at all. Convinced that Damien was simply trapped by the false trail surrounding Laura, he exonerates him almost immediately.
The investigation then becomes totally chaotic.
Laura and Jonathan walk away before the ceremony
While Jonathan still thinks that Laura could be the Power Player, she begins to doubt him more and more. She even wonders if he might not have been chosen as an accomplice this week.
Their alliance, although very strong in recent days, then begins to crack.
Jonathan continues to defend his theory: according to him, Laura would have voluntarily avoided choosing him as an accomplice so as not to arouse suspicion. A hypothesis that Laura completely refutes.
Results: the villa is retrouve complètement divisée.
Between the suspicions against Damien, the doubts around Laura, the questions about Jonathan and Beverly’s discreet strategy, no one really seems to know where to look.
A chaos that particularly amuses Kaos
And while the Players still thought they had time to investigate, Kaos announces a huge twist: the voting ceremony will take place on May 18.
The pressure immediately rises in the villa.
Because from now on, there is no more room for error.
