Our yearly April Fools’ Day pranks were especially successful this year, fooling both reporters and our future artificial supervisors.
It wasn’t a shock that an AI website fell for our fake story about Mayor Mamdani planning to replace car space with Rome-style piazzas in the districts of two council members who criticize him, Vickie Paladino and Joann Ariola.
What did surprise us was that City and State also fell for our more subtle, and frankly more believable, joke about those council members forming a new caucus called DRIVE. The City and State newsletter even published it before realizing it was a hoax.
