The runners and walkers from Cavanac organized their traditional Indéci trail. As usual, the organizers offered several activities around the must-do 19-kilometer trail.
This afternoon, a sportive and friendly event began with a cycling hike around Cavanac, offering a fairly hilly route passing through Col du Poteau, Villefloure, Leuc, Verzeille, covering 45 kilometers that delighted the 21 participants. Before the main race, a children’s race around the village gathered 46 little ones, while participants in the 11 km route (100 people) and the Lovers relay (14 couples) set off around Cavanac, enjoying a passage on the heights of the village to take in a 360-degree view of the Pyrenees, the Black Mountain, the Corbières, and the Lauragais.
The 19-kilometer trail, with 50 runners from across the department, kicked off on this beautiful route laid out by Émilien and his team. To round out this great program, a hike allowed 70 walkers to discover a part of Cavanac with a beautiful view of the city and the Black Mountain. Five kilometers through the vineyards with some wet spots. After the various efforts and the award ceremony, an appetizer was offered by the Cavanac runners and walkers.
It is worth noting that the proceeds from this event will be donated to the Gaël association, which aims to help young adolescents with leukemia. A big congratulations and thank you to Émilien and his entire team, as well as to everyone who made this beautiful day of sport, camaraderie, and solidarity possible.
