AS Avion secured a great victory against GOAL FC (3-0) in a postponed match of the French D1 Futsal championship on Wednesday, April 1st.

Facing a GOAF FC team in the top 4 of the championship in this postponed match of the 14th day, AS Avion, ranked 9th, wasn’t favored by predictions. However, the northern team proved them wrong by inflicting a 3-0 defeat on their Rhône visitor.

Three goals were scored in the second half by Ihab Charrady with a well-executed transition, concluded with a superb right-footed strike (1-0, 25th minute), Othmane El Hokari, seizing an opportunity to counter David Rondon’s clearance (2-0, 32nd minute), and the inevitable Mustapha Rabou, scoring on a counter in an opposing power-play situation (3-0, 35th minute).

With this third victory in four days, Avionnais (8th, 15 points) are experiencing a positive period and are distancing themselves from Nice (10th, 9 points) in the standings. They have also prepared well for their quarter-final of the National Futsal Cup next Saturday at Toulon Métropole (6:00 PM).
