Macau, flawless
In front of their home crowd, Macau secures their sixth victory in as many matches at home. Against a young reserve team from Taillan, the Macaudais were never in danger. With a two-goal lead at halftime, they then managed the game in the second half. A controlled victory (3-0) allows the Blues to remain in second place in the standings, tied with Bassens B but with two fewer games played. According to one of the coaches, Blanco: “There is still work to do but I am pleased with how we managed the match. We showed maturity to control the game and continue our good run at home. See you next Sunday, back at home for the game against Audenge.”
Also in pool A, Vendays-Montalivet shares points with Eysines (2-2). After a successful first half, Vendaysins opened the scoring (14th). The visitors equalized (64th) due to a mistake in the Medoc team’s build-up play. The game heated up in the final minutes, with Eysines taking the lead again, but the home team did not give up. In a last offensive play, AGVM equalized. Final score, two goals each. This hard-earned point places the Medoc team in eighth, two points behind sixth place.
In pool B, Sainte-Hélène rightfully loses to Bouscat (4-2). A spectacular match between two attacking teams. More efficient and sharper, the home team led 3-0 at halftime. Although CASH scored quickly in the second half, the gap was too big to come back. The defeat pushes CASH back to fourth place.
