As the resumption of training approaches, FC Chauray’s 2026-2027 squad is starting to take a little shape. Relieved of several elements (Touré, Guiheneuf, Tchimbembé, Yoncourt, Grain, Alic and even Dupont), Yassine Azahaf, the coach, can count on several recruits.
Two have already been made official, in the person of Ivane Chegra and Mehdi Mousseni, two elements playing the winger position. A third name was added to all this this Sunday, June 21: that of Maël Sedagondji, right side position.
At 26, the native of Dijon played last season in Angoulême, in the same N2 group where Chauray held his own. Trained at DFCO, he also passed through the GF38 reserve, as well as Raon-l’Étape and Créteil. In total, he has more than a hundred appearances at national level, whether in N2 (future N1) or N3 (future N2).
At the same time, he has an international selection with Benin, during a friendly against Ivory Coast in September 2019 where he played alongside a certain Saturnin Allagbé, who will be his teammate at Chauray during the season come.
