Pulkovo International Airport, south of the city, announced a temporary interruption of traffic, without specifying the reason.
On Wednesday, at the opening of the St. Petersburg Forum, once nicknamed the “Russian Davos” in reference to the World Economic Forum, Ukrainian drones struck a nearby oil installation and military site. Guests arriving at the event were greeted with a plume of black smoke in the background.

This Forum ends on Saturday, the day after an intervention by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

A drone attack also sparked a fire of some 5,000 m2 in a fuel depot in Ust-Labinsk, in the Russian region of Krasnodar, according to local authorities.

In Ukraine, in the Zaporizhia region, a Russian drone attack against “essential and industrial infrastructure” left two dead, according to the local military chief, Ivan Fedorov.
