Geotec: solid growth in France, vulnerabilities abroad

Despite a difficult sectoral context, Géotec showed positive momentum in France in 2025, with a turnover of 130 million euros, up by more than 10%. This performance is based on its major infrastructure projects and the development of high-tech sectors: geotechnics, geothermal, maritime, exploration, and diagnosis of polluted sites. The acquisition of ENVISOL has strengthened its positions in environmental activities, now a growth lever.

Internationally, the outcome is more contrasting. While some establishments, such as in New Caledonia, have supported the activity, others have been weakened by complex political and regulatory contexts, particularly in West Africa. This situation illustrates the resilience but also the vulnerability of a multi-territorial model facing market volatility and local requirements.

Diversification and digitalization at the heart of the 2026 strategy

For 2026, the group intends to accelerate its most promising sectors and consolidate its historical positions. Digitalization and the gradual integration of artificial intelligence will be a structuring axis, aiming to improve operational performance. Territorial development will continue with new establishments in French Polynesia, Guyana, and Mayotte. These choices are part of the “Ambition 2030” project, which combines diversification, environmental transition, and innovation to stabilize French growth while limiting the impacts of international vulnerabilities.

“In 2026, the path is narrow, but it exists. We must accept that the real estate market will not return to its previous levels and that local authorities operate within a constrained budgetary framework. Faced with these new realities, our model based on the diversification of our sectors and locations is a decisive asset. It gives us the ability to absorb cycles, adjust our trajectory, and focus our efforts where the prospects are strongest,” said Olivier Barnoud, President of Groupe Géotec.
