On Monday, the day before the Champions League quarter-final second leg against PSG, Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai appeared at a press conference.

Liverpool “didn’t doubt” their possible qualification for the quarter-finals on Tuesday night against PSG at Anfield, despite losing 2-0 in the first leg, said Dominik Szoboszlai.

“It won’t be the same match, it will be different, we saw what PSG is capable of, and now we will try to manage everything better, play at 100% and give our all to leave the field with our heads held high,” explained Dominik Szoboszlai in front of the press on Monday, one of the best players in the Reds’ squad this season.

He declared, “I am ready to die on the field,” and added, “I speak on behalf of all my teammates because we have worked a lot to be where we are,” ensuring that it would be one of the greatest achievements of his career if Liverpool overturns PSG on Tuesday at Anfield.

“The whole world knows what they have to do,” said the Hungarian, “There is no doubt that we have an opportunity to advance to the semi-finals,” also expressing full confidence that the Reds can turn the situation around because “I know my teammates, our qualities, and the team’s spirit.” Playing in front of Anfield is motivation enough, according to this leader of the Reds’ dressing room, acknowledging that “it will be difficult to play against PSG, especially since they are in full confidence.”

When asked about PSG’s match postponement in Ligue 1, the Hungarian responded, “Yes, it makes a difference because it gives them two days to rest, while we had to focus on Fulham this weekend. But I am not here to say that the Premier League should have helped us, we are professionals.”
