The Béarn Bigorre commandery of the International Order of Anysetiers traveled by bike from Pau, then Lourdes and finally Tarbes in order to deliver the donations collected to three associations. They were supported on this journey by the cyclists of the secular association of Serres-Castets.
“The International Order of Anysetiers is a service club created in 1956 and stemming from a brotherhood with centuries-old tradition,” explains Eliane Boucher Garrabos, president or Grand Master of the Béarn Bigorre commandery.
“We evolve around strong human values. Our motto: to help and give hope, in particular to young people and people in difficulty. During our journey today, we made three stages. Each time, we stopped to make a donation to an association. In Pau, we met the association “Aux petits handkerchiefs.”
In Lourdes, we stopped for Basco-Béarnaise Hospitality. And finally Tarbes.”
In the capital of Hautes-Pyrénées, the commandery handed over a check for 1,500 euros. The money was raised thanks to the numerous events organized by the Anysetiers.
“This sum is a real help for us,” adds president Romain Cabaup. “It will be used to buy a computer and three tablets to lend to students. Each will be equipped with a learning program for young people.”
A beautiful gesture of solidarity and humanity.
