The Cultural Diversity Village brings the Quai de la Daurade to life in Toulouse with stands and world games this weekend. For chess enthusiasts, a simultaneous match against international master Olivier Touzane promises a rare and friendly moment.
This Saturday, May 23, the “Village of Cultural Diversity” is set up at the Quai de la Daurade in Toulouse on the occasion of the World Day of Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development. Many associations will welcome visitors with various activities. The Airbus Toulouse Chess Circle (CATE) will participate in the event with a stand where passers-by can learn, learn or simply practice this noble, age-old game.

Among the activities offered, a simultaneous game will be organized with international master Olivier Touzane. This renowned Toulouse player notably beat the world champion of the time, Viswanathan Anand, in 2002. It is a unique opportunity to compete against one of the best players in the region, without any fear of the result. The simultaneous match will begin around 4 p.m. No registration is necessary and it will be possible to join the game in progress as soon as a table becomes available.
