Finland easily defeated the United States 6-2 on the 4th day of the World Championship in Switzerland. Canada, favorite of the competition, waited until the last third to make the difference against Denmark 5-1.
Beaten from the start by Switzerland on Friday, the Americans conceded a second defeat in three outings on Monday. Against the defending champion, New Jersey Devils striker Lenni Hameenaho delivered a great match with a double (7th/22nd) and a decisive pass, allowing Finland to lead 5-1 after 40 minutes.
