On June 26 and 27, 2026, the 1st Parachute Hussar Regiment (1st RHP) will host the first edition of the Open Bercheny MMA, a joint Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) tournament, organized under the aegis of the French Federation of MMA (FFMMA).
The tournament will take place in the Larrey district, rue de Cronstadt, in Tarbes (65) and will bring together fighters from the Army, the National Navy, the Air and Space Force and the internal security forces who will compete in compliance with the rules of the FFMMA. This tournament is sponsored by Jimmy Vienot, seven-time world champion of muay-thai (Thai boxing).
This unique event marks the start of a unifying annual meeting, at the crossroads of high-level combat sport and military identity. Active and reserve military fighters from all backgrounds are expected, from Paris firefighters, to paratrooper commandos, including internal security forces. This competition embodies the cohesion and brotherhood of the armies around the values of commitment, discipline, resilience and surpassing oneself.
