War scenes take place in the suburbs of Moscow (Russia). Residents are trying to take shelter. The first drones have just fallen. There is already a column of smoke in the sky. The air defense tries to shoot down a new drone, in vain. It is a refinery which is targeted, the largest in Moscow. In one of the images posted on social networks, we see the roof of one of the tanks flying off under the effect of the explosion.

Residents film the drones passing by. Sometimes the anti-aircraft defense shoots them down. But sometimes it fails. “Damn happened next door. They’re shooting at it”says a man who is filming.

The attack officially left 17 injured, including two children. Because some of the drones hit buildings. Thursday June 18, in the neighborhood where a building was hit, France Télévisions teams met residents. “We were sleeping, we heard the sound of the drone. We fled the room, there was an explosion, broken windows. We went out with the children into the street and there we came back to see the damage”testifies one of them. “We saw the drone enter the building,” says another.

The objective of this attack, claimed by Volodymyr Zelensky: “The Russian people are beginning to feel that one man, Putin, is leading this war while ordinary people are paying all the price.”

But if there are numerous images on social networks, they are absent from television channels which show nothing of this attack. Vladimir Putin himself has yet to make any comments since the international conference he chairs, but Moscow has promised an escalation. The Russian Foreign Minister announced that Moscow would regularly carry out massive group attacks on Ukraine.
